Psalm 46:10 (NKJV)

“Be still, and know that I am God…”

We can become so accustomed to rushing through life that we start rushing through the presence of God. We rush our prayers, rush our worship, rush our Bible reading, and sometimes rush to get an answer—when God may be calling us simply to remain with Him.

“DON’T BE SO ANXIOUS TO HEAR WHAT GOD HAS TO SAY THAT YOU MISS THE PRIVILEGE OF SIMPLY BEING WITH HIM.”

Sometimes His presence is not a hallway we walk through to get to an answer. His presence is the destination.

There are three movements: enter His presence, become still in His presence, and remain until your heart becomes attentive to Him.

“STOP WATCHING THE CLOCK WHEN YOU’RE SITTING WITH THE ONE WHO HOLDS TIME.”

“LORD, DELIVER ME FROM RUSHING THROUGH SACRED MOMENTS. TEACH ME TO LINGER, LISTEN, WORSHIP, AND REST IN YOUR PRESENCE. I DON’T JUST WANT SOMETHING FROM YOU—I WANT YOU.”
